Jewellery Materials The metal element generally used in our costume jewellery is alloy or zinc alloy (zinc alloy tends to be lighter metal)
Our platings do not contain precious metals, they are a coloured finish (costume jewellery finish). Depending on the colour of the necklace as seen, will depend on the finish used. Generally the description will indicate the finish colour, or the colour listing if it is done in more than one colour. Our platings are generally antique silver, rhodium (which is a silver finish), gunmetal, antique gold or antique brass. Any styles that do not have a metal plating and are either leather, ribbon or cord as indicated in the description for you.
Other materials we often use are: resin, glass, plastic, ceramic, wood, enamel , shell, and acrylic stones. The pearls we sell are imitation and are made of glass or plastic.
Necklace Lengths Our short necklaces are generally around 17" long + extension chain. Our mid and long necklaces do vary in length, however the mid and long title gives a good idea of where it sits.
Watch Batteries The watches come with a stopper, so that the battery is not used until it is needed (watches do not come with display boxes or an extra guarantee other than within our returns policy).
Packaging For TRADE orders we provide Gaby paper gift bags for orders with any items £5.95 and over. Also provided is Gaby tissue paper. For RETAIL customer orders we provide a Gaby paper gift bag.
Nickel Content All items comply with the EC nickel directive and are not made with nickel (you cannot guarantee there are not traces of nickel, but they are not directly made with it).
Care We advise to take care with the products, example; applying perfume directly onto costume jewellery. We do not advise this as it is only costume jewellery and chemicals can react with the finishes.
