The metal element generally used in our costume jewellery is alloy or zinc alloy (zinc alloy tends to be lighter metal)
Our platings do not contain precious metals; they are a coloured (or costume jewellery) finish. Generally the description of the item will indicate the finish colour used in the image, and alternative colours will be listed if the item is available in more than one colour. Our platings are generally antique silver, rhodium (which is a silver finish), gunmetal, antique gold or antique brass. Any styles that do not have a metal plating are leather, ribbon or cord as indicated in the description.
Other materials we often use are: resin, glass, plastic, ceramic, wood, enamel, shell, and acrylic stones. The pearls we sell are imitation and are made of glass or plastic.
Our short necklaces are generally around 17" long with an extension chain. Our mid and long necklaces vary in length, although the "mid" and "long" description gives a good idea of where the necklace will sit.
All items comply with the EC nickel directive and are not made with nickel (it cannot be absolutely guaranteed there are no traces of nickel).
Please avaoid applying perfume directly onto costume jewellery as chemicals can react with the finishes.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order it for you. You will always be emailed with the option of cancelling your order if you would rather not wait.
While we make every effort to reproduce as accurately as we can the colours of merchandise shown on this site, we are unable to guarantee true colour reproduction of shades displayed, because browsers, screens and printers do vary in colour output.
